Opposition parties protest against controversial land acquisition law in Potka

Potka: The members and supporters of various Opposition parties staged a demonstration before Potka block on Thursday to protest against the land acquisition law recently passed by the Jharkhand government. They demanded immediate scrapping of the legislation in the larger interest of the tribal people of the state.

The Opposition leaders marched from Potka Chowk to the block headquarters raising anti-government slogans and demanded withdrawal of the controversial law.

Among those present during the protests included Sunil Mahato, Sanjeev Sardar, Roreya Soen, Chandravati Mahato, Heeramuni Murmu, Ganesh Sardar, Sitaram Hansda, KC Mardi, Harish Singh Bhumij, Somai Murmu, Sudarshan Bhumij and Subodh Sardar.
