Jamshedpur: State BJP spokesperson JB Tubid today trained his guns on the Opposition parties by alleging that they were misleading people on the development initiatives taken by the state government.

He said the Opposition parties were creating rumours by making baseless claims regarding the recent amendments in the Chhota Nagpur Tenancy Act and Santhal Paragana Tenancy Act carried out by the BJP led government.

Tubid, addressing a district level meeting of the BJP at Town Hall, Sidhgora, said the Opposition needed to come out of its old tradition of opposing every developmental move of the state government. He said the Opposition leaders should adopt a positive outlook and should play a constructive role in the Assembly.

The state government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das has set new standards of development. Highways are being constructed and new industries are being set up in Jharkhand. All this will only benefit our youths, especially the Adivasis, Tubid said.

Also present on the occasion was the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar. She said the party workers were the backbone of the organization. She appealed to them to spread awareness among the people on the development and welfare schemes being run by the state government.

State secretary of BJP Pradip Verma said the Opposition was trying to whip up discontent among the Adivasis by speaking ill of the recent amendments in the CNT and SPT laws. He said the JMM and Congress had brought a similar Bill to amend the land laws in the year 1996.

Verma further said that a special campaign Vikas Parv would be run in all districts of the state from 23rd December to inform the people about government schemes.

The birthday of former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee will be celebrated as Vikas Parv and Sushasan Diwas. A district level mega blood donation camp will also be held on the occasion.

Todays meeting was presided over by the district BJP president Dinesh Kumar.
