Gamharia: Road accident has taken one life near Mirudih railway crossing last night. One Pathar Singh (40) a resident of Kharswan came under wheels of a speeding vehicle and died on the spot.
The deceased was a construction worker and was coming from Baskonagar riding a bicycle. Midway a vehicle hit his bicycle in the impact he sustained critical injury. He died on the spot.
The local residents informed the Adityapur and RIT police and his body was sent for post-mortem. Angry local residents put up road blockade for a brief period demanding compensation.
After arrival of the police the mob dispersed.
