Jamshedpur: A one-day awareness cum training programme on Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) with social distance was successfully organised by NCDC, Laxmanrao Inamdar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development (LINAC) Regional Training Center, Ranchi.
at Jamashedapur, East Singhbhum.
The Chief guest of the programme was Mrityunjay Kumar Barnwal, IAS, Registrar Cooperative Societies, he informed that the PMMSY scheme is a great initiative of Govt of India and Jharkhand have huge potential for development of fishery sector, therefore all the stakeholders should take more and more benefits under the scheme. The programme was also attended by Shri Manoj Kumar, Managing Director, Jhascofish (key speaker)and gave a special address on PMMSY scheme. Apart from this, DCO, Eastern Singhbhum, AR, East Singhbhum, DCO, Saraikela Kharsawan, AR, Saraikela Kharsawan and other state government officials were also present.
About 100 people from various fish cooperative societies participated in the programme. Siddharth Kumar Nim, Regional Director, NCDC, Ranchi gave an address on the purpose of the programme. A presentation on various schemes implemented by NCDC was made by Nagendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Director.
