Jamshedpur, May 23: Jugsalai police arrested one Mohammad Asif alias Sonu for allegedly molesting a 10 year-old girl of his neighbourhood here on Monday.
The accused committed the crime on 21st May last when the victim was at home. He entered her house and molested her in the absence of family members. When the girl started shouting, her family members came and caught the accused red-handed. The accused beat up the family members and also threatened to kill them.
Police officials said they arrested Asif from his house. An FIR has been registered against the accused under POCSO Act and various sections of the IPC, officials said.
