Jamshedpur : East Singhbhum police has swung into action to probe the alleged kidnapping of woman and two children of an Odisha-born man working in Oman. based on his tweet for help in tracking her family to CM office in Ranchi last night.

The 34-year-old Binod Kumar, a native of Bhubaneshwar in Odisha working in a company in Oman for over a decade tweeted that his wife Priya Rani and two children (a daughter Anamika and son Aloj) went missing from the Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi in 2010 and have been traceless since then.

It was really shocking that Binods wife and his children though were dropped at the Delhi Airport by his in-laws on October 27, 2010 for a flight to Oman via Muscat. Binod was waiting at the Muscat Airport but did not find his wife and children. This prompted Binod to return to India and lodge an missing FIR at Delhi Airport , said Binods Mumbai based friend, Gopesh.

Gopeshadded that in 2014, Binod got call informing that his wife and children are safe and would be returned if he pays Rs 20 lakh. Out of fear, Binod paid the amount in several transactions and simultaneously lodged a case with Delhi police.

We hired the private agency that helped in tracing the locations of the anonymous caller as one Mohammed MunnaAshiq who resided in Delhi. Earlier this year, the private agency said that the caller has changed location to Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, said Gopesh.

He tweeted to Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das. Binod in his tweet has also given my (Gopesh) number to the SSP East Singhbhum (Anoop T. Mathew). I phoned the SSP and was told that they have traced the wife and children in Mango locality of Jamshedpur.

The SSP said that the wife told them that she was staying with the youth in Mango on her own. We will proceed for lodging a case of bigamy against the wife, cheating against the youth, said Gopesh.
Gopesh informed that Binod would be coming soon to Jamshedpur to proceed with the case. East Singhbhum SSP Anoop T. Mathew confirmed of receiving the complaint through tweet.
