Om Prakash Charan appointed CPRO, South Eastern Railway

Jamshedpur, June 7: Om Prakash Charan has been appointed the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Eastern Railway with effect from June 7. Charan had been previously assigned as the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager at Kharagpur.

A member of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) 2013 batch, Om Prakash Charan has an M.A. Degree in Political Science from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. Throughout his career in the railway sector, he has held key positions such as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager in Kharagpur and Adra, Senior Divisional Operations Manager in Chakradharpur, and Area Manager in Tatanagar.

Apart from his professional commitments, Charan has demonstrated a strong interest in sports and socio-cultural activities. His appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives and initiatives to the South Eastern Railway’s public relations endeavors. (w/gsd)
