Srivastava admitted to TMH, district BJP leaders condemn the incident

Jamshedpur: Former district BJP president Rajkumar Srivastava and his mother were allegedly beaten up by the officer in-charge of Olidih PS, Mukesh Choudhary late Tuesday night. The two were allegedly manhandled and threatened by the Olidih OC during an investigation into a scuffle between Srivastava and the relatives of Sanjeev Singh, former district vice president of BJP.

Sources said Sanjeev Singh had complained against Srivastava. Soon, the Olidih OC was directed by senior police officials to take necessary action against the accused persons.

At the police station, the OC allegedly beat up Srivastava and his mother and also reportedly misbehaved with them, BJP source said.

Srivastava was taken to TMH where several BJP leaders met him today. Among those who met him included the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar, Rambabu Tiwary, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Pawan Agrawal, Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh and Gurdev Singh Raja.

Contacted, the accused OC said he would speak on the allegations only before his senior officials.

  1. These small politicians who think themselves as a mafia should be beaten up with no mercy. These are just an ill omen for the society. Hats off to the police department to let them know where these cheap politicians stand.
