Jamshedpur, Sept 4: Oil tanker drivers on Friday protested outside Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division) Tatanagar Depot in Burmamines against adulteration of petrol and diesel.
Drivers alleged that water and kerosene oil is mixed in petrol and diesel supplied to petrol pumps in Jamshedpur along with Kolhan Division and Odissa state.
Drivers blamed Assistant Manager of Tatanagar Depot, Jyotsna Pinki Kundu and Computer Operator Sanjay Prasad of adulterating the oil.
The demonstration was led by National Vice-President of International Human Rights Association Kamal Akhtar.
A driver on the occasion said, �After we deliver petrol the pump owner says that the quantity vary and show bad behavior against the tanker driver but the main issue is at the depot where the adulteration takes place�.
Also present at the protest Kaushal, Nandu Hembram, Dinesh Choudhary, Arun Pandit, Dhananjay Sharma and others said that if the matter is not solved at the earliest and the culprits are not taken into account we will be forced to give a written complaint to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Amitabh Kaushal and SDO.
They further said that transporters will protest against the issue on September 15. At the protest more than 200 oil tanker drivers were present.
