Jamshedpur, Nov 9: DAV Public School, Bistupur, celebrated the 25th Statehood Day of Jharkhand with great enthusiasm, hosting a series of events that included a heartwarming Grandparents Day celebration for the pre-primary section. The event beautifully combined the pride of Jharkhand’s progress with the joy of family bonding across generations.
The celebration began with a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the development and achievements of Jharkhand since its formation in 2000. The school premises came alive with music, dance, and laughter as grandparents joined their little ones for an evening filled with cultural performances and nostalgia.
The event started with the DAV Gaan and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the school’s belief that even a single flame can dispel darkness. The welcome song and dance by the students set a cheerful tone for the evening. The highlight of the event was a delightful ramp walk by Nursery students, who confidently walked hand in hand with their grandparents, earning loud applause from the audience.
Students from Classes III to VI dedicated a soulful song to express love and gratitude towards their grandparents, followed by a lively dance drama by LKG students that had everyone tapping their feet. The UKG students performed an energetic dance that showcased their enthusiasm and joy.
A short skit by Class II students took everyone back in time, depicting traditional indoor and outdoor games from the days before social media and gadgets, reminding all of a simpler and happier era. The program concluded with a vibrant folk dance by Class I students celebrating India’s unity in diversity and the spirit of national integration.
The grandparents, visibly moved and delighted, applauded every performance with affection and pride. The event successfully celebrated not only Jharkhand’s journey as a state but also the invaluable role grandparents play in nurturing love, wisdom, and tradition in every family.
