Jamshedpur Schools Nursery Admission process to begin soon

Jamshedpur, Sept 12: The race for admission to nursery and LKG classes in private schools across Jamshedpur has officially commenced. This year, several changes and important announcements have been made by school authorities, which are set to impact parents and students alike.

• Most private schools in Jamshedpur are offering admission forms online, making it more convenient for parents. However, to cater to those facing difficulties with online submissions, many schools are also providing offline options.

Number of Private Schools:

• Jamshedpur boasts a total of 424 private schools. Among them, 65 schools have opened admissions for nursery and LKG classes, with an average of 150 seats per school.

Admission Process:

• Admission will be determined through a lottery system, though the specifics of the lottery process will be decided by each school individually.
• The lottery results for nursery admissions are set to be announced on the third Saturday of January 2024.

Certificate Verification:

• In light of recent cases involving fake certificates, all private schools have decided to scrutinize birth certificates and caste certificates of students selected through the lottery to ensure authenticity.

New Education Policy Impact:

• As per the new national education policy, nursery has been designated as the entry point for all categories of schools in Jamshedpur.
