Jamshedpur, Dec. 25:Nuagram villagers have commenced National Unified USSD Platform (NUUP) technique based mobile banking service on a mission mode.
On Saturday digitally literate villagers visited several areas of the Nuagram village, located 27km away from Jamshedpur in Potka block of East Singhbum district, and the trained the villagers to carry out the bank work by sitting in their home through USSD method and adopt cashless transaction to meet ends.
They also informed the villagers to use the technique for receiving money. Since there are customers of only SBI, Bank of India and Union bank the code of these three banks (*99*41#, *99*47# and *99*50#) have been put up through a flex banner at different locations of the village.
A shopkeeper at the village, Amar Karji said, this is very simple method of transaction and assured to help the customers who face issues during the transaction.
According to reports, several villagers use PayTM, E-Wallet, Airtel Money, Flipkart and Amazon to but goods and other transactions but most of the villagers are of the opinion that mobile banking is much simple method.
There are several villagers who are fully familiar of using mobile banking service but due to some or the other reason their mobile number is not registered with the bank.
For them district public relation office with the help of banks will organize a camp on December 28. Present at the event were Urmila Samad, Dr. Jayant Dey, Shailendra Pramanik, Utpal Mandal, Amar Karji and others were present.
