Jamshedpur: After over a week of closure, NTTF is finally going to re-open tomorrow. This was decided by the management of the technical training institute during a meeting with parents and students on Wednesday.
The principal of NTTF KV Nayar said the decision to re-open the institute was taken in the meeting with parents convened this morning. Parents and students of the institute demanded that the classes and normal functioning of NTTF should resume as early as possible in the larger interest of the students.
NTTF was closed down for an indefinite period by the institute management authorities concerned a week back following a ruckus on the campus. The ruckus was caused by the alleged hooliganism shown by the local Bharatiya Janata Party leaders including district BJP president Rajkumar Srivastava.
The BJP leaders had allegedly tried to put pressure on the management for allowing an ailing student to take her semester examination. The NTTF authorities had refused to allow the student due to her low attendance rate, the BJP leaders had said.
Many BJP leaders including the MLA of Jamshedpur East Raghuvar Das and former MLA of Jamshedpur West Saryu Roy had requested the NTTF authorities to revoke the closure decision and re-open the institute in the larger interest of the students.
The news of re-opening of NTTF has finally given a reason to parents and students of the institute to cheer since the semester examinations had been cancelled indefinitely. All office works had been put on hold indefinitely as a result of the sudden closure.
