Jamshedpur, June 13: National Train Enquiry System (NTES) at Tatanagar Railway Station remained stalled from Monday night at 1 am till Tuesday morning at 4 pm as the railway system was being updated by CRIS from its Delhi based headquarters.
The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) designs, develops, implements and maintains most of the important information systems of Indian Railways. It is located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Due to this the retiring room and dormitory booking for passengers from counter no.9 remained suspended.
E-ticket booking was also stalled sue to the updation. The inquiry centre workers in the station were airing the information about the trains runing schedule by taking information from other stations.
CRIS from its Delhi headquarters had informed about the updation of railway system to Chakradharpur Division and other major stations late on Monday evening. Due to the updation there was no chance of getting general ticket but the passengers were getting the tickets.
Officers at CRIS during the stalled railway system worked on Mobile ticket service while mobile ticket data is loaded in the computers of all major stations of South-Eastern railway.
Once the order comes in from CRIS, passengers at Tatanagar, Ranchi, Kharagpur and Rourkela stations will get general tickets on their mobiles.
