Jamshedpur, June 6: Kadma Uliyan situated Brahmanand Seva Sadan launched the ‘Sasta Bhojan’ scheme at Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Tamolia premises on Monday, June 5. Under the scheme, economic and hygienic meals will be provided for Rs 10.
The food will be available at the hospital for the poor people at the hospital from 12 noon to 2 pm. The meal consists of rice, roti, dal, a sabzi (curry) and pickle. The initiative was launched by the trustee of Brahmanand Seva Sadan, Monu Bhattacharya on Monday.
After launching the meal service, Monu Bhattacharya said, though the scheme was being planned from past but has been launched at two places (Bhrahmlok Dhaam and Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty Hospital). It was basically meant for poor people, others could also have the food. ‘The meal service will be available for the poor till my last breath and with blessings of Lord Brahmanand’, added Monu.
He further said that based on the response the service will be extended at both the places in the night too. ‘We have plans to open the meal service at Bistupur and Sakchi so that maximum people of the city can benefit. As and when the land is available the service will be started’, noted Monu.
Present on the occasion were Vishwanath Rao, Ramawtar Purohit, Raju Agarwal, Sriniwas Rao, Sapan Ghosh, Ajit Kumar, Tulsi Rao, Somnath, Shivani, Kakoli, Madhuri, Chetna, Krishna and Geeta. It may be noted that the Rs 10 meal service was started at Bhrahmlok Dhaam in Uliyan on May 31. The meal consists of rice, roti, dal, a sabzi (curry), pickle and sweet. which is available from 12 noon to 2 pm.
