Nostalgia marks APR Nair’s fourth death anniversary in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sept. 9: The 4^th death anniversary of APR Nair (15-10-1937 to 09-09-2016), founder chairman, KSMS and KPS groups of Schools was commemorated in an hour long ceremony organized virtually by Kerala Samajam Model School.  

Audience of about 2500 comprised members of BoT and Managing Committee, Kerala Samajam, KSMS & KSHS leadership, faculty and staff, alumni, students and parents.

The program began with a bhajan sung by Manorama Nair (wife of APR Nair). Sharat Chandran Nair and Srikant Nair, Directors, KPS group of schools, also graced the occasion with their presence.

The inaugural address by KPG Nair, Chairman, Kerala Samajam, was followed by prayer songs by KSMS and KSHS teachers dedicated to his memory.  The program concluded with address by Nandini Shukla, Principal, KSMS, P Sashidharan, President and Sunil, Secretary, Kerala Samajam.

Two video presentations summarized the achievements of this larger than life personality. We remember with gratitude his immense perseverance and contribution in the journey of development of KSMS into a prodigious +2school ranking among top 10 of Steel City.  Food kits were distributed in his remembrance to the support staff of the school and others.

People remembered his visionary leadership, strategically sound and practical solutions and his guts to look adversity in the face and accept challenges. He was remembered as a tough leader, a hero who tirelessly and effortlessly devoted his life to the establishment of 7 temples of literacy KSMS and 6 KPS schools, adopted villages and helped the needy & deprived. He cared about well-being of everyone around him. He was popular for his sense of humor, love for little children, a gourmet and a romantic who loved to hum Bollywood numbers. He was generous to the point of �moksh�. He had another softer large hearted side of him. He was emotionally remembered by his sons, Sharat and Srikant.
