Non-employee wards call off agitation on getting assurance

Jamshedpur: The agitation called by the wards of non-employees near Tata Motors gate in Telco was called off on Saturday on getting assurance from district administration officials.

Administration officials said they will look into the matter and take logical action.

Meanwhile, the condition of one of the agitators, a woman, deteriorated in the morning. The fast unto death call given by the agitators continued since yesterday.

As a result of fasting, the woman�s condition aggravated. She was taken to the hospital by the agitators who later announced that they had called off the agitation as of now after getting assurance from certain officials of the district administration.

District administration had deputed police force and a magistrate at the agitation venue in view of the declaration by the agitators to go on fast unto death.

Private security guards of the company were also deputed near the company gate. Local BJP leader DD Tripathy also supported the agitation.

Along with AJSU leader Sanjay Singh and convoy union leader Gyan Sagar.
