No violence during bandh in East Singhbhum: DC Amit Kumar

Jamshedpur: No incident of violence or vandalism was reported anywhere in East Singhbhum during the bandh called by Congress and its allies. District administration had made elaborate security arrangements all over the city and the rural parts of East Singhbhum. Executive magistrates and senior police officials were deputed to keep an eye on trouble-mongers at various sensitive places. Rapid Action Force contingents were deployed in the district.

Sources said the district police also used drones to keep an eye on bandh supporters all over the city. Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar and SSP Anoop Birtharay took stock of the law and order situation at the CCR through CCTV footage captured by dozens of cameras installed across the city. In a joint statement, they said no incident of violence or arson was reported anywhere in the district.
