No stone will be left unturned for urban development: Raghubar Das

Ranchi, July 24: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Ranchi deserves to be given the form of Capital. At the same time, no stone should be left unturned to develop basic urban infrastructure at Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Deoghar & Dumka.

He said it while chairing a review meeting on the development of urban infrastructure in his chamber at Project Building.

He said that after widening & expansion of the roads, electric pillars, cut cable wires and jam or broken drains increase rather than decrease the problems of common people as well as increase the chance of accidents.

Therefore, wherever the urban beautification is done, all departments such as, Road Construction Department, Municipal Corporation, Traffic Police, energy, BSNL, PHED land revenue, etc. should conduct basic required surveys.

Then acquired land should be identified for related services & made encroachment-free. After this, work should be done in full coordination so that it should not seem that a particular street, muhalla, or area is not developing because of lack of coordination. He directed to implement it at Ranchi & said that all state bodies should be directed to work in this regard.

CM further said that it is the duty of the officers to make the main streets of the city encroachment-free. Hence they should work fairly and fearlessly. The people want rapid development of the state. Therefore, the government department will have to work at the speed required.

He ordered Ranchi Municipal Corporation to start picking up garbage from first August, 2015 from 8 pm to 12 midnight. Referring to the workers coming to Ranchi far from the countryside every day, he directed the Ranchi Commissioner to arrange Raein-basera for such workers.
