No-fly zone over Jamshedpur for President visit

Jamshedpur, Dec 22: The Sub-Divisional Magistrate-cum-Sub-Divisional Officer, Dhalbhum, Chandrajeet Singh, has issued a general prohibitory order declaring a ‘No-Fly Zone’ in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas ahead of the scheduled visit of President Droupadi Murmu on December 29.

As per directives of East Singhbhum deputy Commissioner, Karn Satyarthi the order prohibits the operation of drones, paragliders, hot air balloons and similar aerial activities across all police station areas of Dhalbhum sub-division during the Prez visit.

The President will arrive at Sonari Airport and travel to Dishom Jaherthan, Karandih, Circuit House, Jamshedpur and NIT Adityapur in adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

The prohibitory order, issued under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023, will remain in force from 6:00 pm on December 28 to 10:00 pm on December 29.

Authorities have urged people to strictly adhere to the restrictions to ensure a safe and smooth visit for the President.
