Students from Standards III to VIII participate in hands-on learning

Jamshedpur, August 5: On Friday, August 2, Tarapore School hosted its dynamic ‘No Books Day’ for students from Standards III to VIII, offering a variety of vocational crafts and practical learning experiences.
Students in Std. VI explored food preservation techniques, including canning, freezing, boiling, dehydrating, and pickling. They participated in a quiz and learned to make pickles with guidance from their teachers, gaining insights into food safety and hygiene.

Std. VII students engaged in creative advertising projects, developing marketing strategies, designing logos, and creating jingles for everyday products. This activity provided them with an understanding of the advertising industry and essential marketing skills.
Std. VIII students visited a Handloom Centre in Lupungdih Village to learn about weaving. They interacted with artisans and observed the weaving process, from warping to selling, gaining hands-on experience in the handloom industry.

Younger students also participated in various practical activities: Std. III focused on gift-wrapping to enhance precision and creativity; Std. IV engaged in story writing and narration, while also practicing light bulb changing for problem-solving and safety; and Std. V explored sewing and embroidery to develop patience, fine motor skills, and creativity.
Tarapore School’s ‘No Books Day’ effectively provided students with valuable real-life skills, fostering creativity and responsibility through practical and enriching learning opportunities.
