Jamshedpur, Dec 8: No anomaly was found in the electronic voting machines at polling booth number 6 and 30 of Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency on Sunday.
A probe was conducted at these booths by East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Returning Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla, General Observer Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma and other election officials. Independent candidate Saryu Roy had demanded a probe into alleged exchange of EVMs at 30 polling booths in the constituency. Supporters of Congress candidate Gourav Vallabh had also made similar allegations.
The Returning Officer of Jamshedpur East cum SDO Chandan Kumar, ADC Sourabh Kumar Sinha and representatives of various candidates were also present on this occasion.
