NIT Jamshedpur workshop: Governor asks entrepreneurs to come forward for development

Jamshedpur: Governor Ramesh Bais on Saturday motivated industrialists and entrepreneurs to come forward for the development of the State. He noted that till now “we have not been able to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of self-reliant India. To accomplish that, we have to work selflessly”.

He was addressing a one-day workshop on Academic Social Responsibility organised by NIT Jamshedpur under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. On the occasion, the Governor appealed to the entrepreneurs that they all come forward in the ‘Navnirman’ of Jharkhand. Industrialists understand their responsibility.

He said that today villages are getting ruined and cities are getting populated. Industries are being set up only after destroying the village. “ Cultivable land is getting exhausted due to the establishment of industries. The environment is being harmed. Despite this, the entrepreneurs are not fulfilling their responsibility. We have to think of more entrepreneurs about this. Where industries have settled, the villages around them must be developed and revived. We have to work selflessly. The development of the country is not possible until the village is not developed,” said Bais.

Addressing the programme at NIT, Bais hailed the history of Jharkhand. “ The history of Jharkhand is centuries old. If we talk about the first piece of earth, then it is the land of Jharkhand. This has come out from the scriptures and research. The first bugle of independence was also blown from the soil of Jharkhand. Our State is full of mineral wealth. We should be proud of such land. We should be proud that we are residents of Jharkhand. All of us together have to make Jharkhand one of the top states on the path of development from the last rung. It is not just a matter of government alone. For this everyone will have to work together,” he said.

During his two-day visit to Jamshedpur, Bais also visited Tata Motors plant. In the presence of plant head Vishal Badshah, the Governor inspected various facilities and production processes at the plant.
