Jamshedpur, Mar 23: The International Conference on Recent Advances in Materials Processing and Characterization (RAMPC-2025), organized by the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur, concluded with a grand valedictory session, emphasizing innovation in materials science and its industrial significance.
Dr. Sunil Kumar, Principal Scientist at CSIR-NML Jamshedpur, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the critical role of materials research in industrial and societal advancements and called for greater research and collaboration in the field.
The session was presided over by Prof. Ram Vinoy Sharma, Deputy Director, NIT Jamshedpur, who underscored the importance of such conferences in fostering knowledge exchange and technological growth.
Prof. Ashok Kumar, Chairman of RAMPC-2025, presented a detailed summary of the three-day event, while Dr. Ram Krishna, Convenor of the conference, highlighted the 52 technical presentations that showcased cutting-edge developments in materials processing and emerging technologies.
The event was expertly coordinated by Organising Secretaries Dr. Sanjay Kumar Vajpai, Dr. Aravind Gali and Dr. Jichil Majhi, ensuring seamless participation from academia, researchers and industry professionals. Dr. P. Sudharkar Rao, Associate Professor, NITTTR Chandigarh, along with other delegates, praised the technical depth and collaborative environment of the conference.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the successful culmination of RAMPC-2025 and reaffirming NIT Jamshedpur’s commitment to research and innovation in materials science.
