Jamshedpur: National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur has launched the first batch of its 3D Printing & Reverse Engineering Laboratory, marking a significant milestone in strengthening advanced manufacturing education, innovation and hands-on learning at the institute.
The newly inaugurated laboratory aims to provide practical training in additive manufacturing, digital design and reverse engineering technologies, enabling participants to convert innovative ideas into functional prototypes and real-world engineering solutions. The initiative is aligned with evolving industry needs and the growing demand for skilled professionals in Industry 4.0–driven sectors.
The programme is expected to benefit students, researchers and faculty members by promoting experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation-led thinking. Faculty members from various departments have been encouraged to actively participate and motivate students to leverage the facility to enhance their technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills.
With the launch of the 3D Printing & Reverse Engineering Lab, NIT Jamshedpur has further reinforced its commitment to technology-driven education, skill development and future-ready learning ecosystems, preparing the next generation of engineers and innovators to address complex real-world challenges.
