Night temperature drops in Jamshedpur, cold wave expected from December 11

 

Jamshedpur: The night temperatures in Jamshedpur have started to decline, signalling the onset of colder weather. According to the Meteorological Department, the chill is expected to intensify from December 11.

Despite December beginning, the city has not yet experienced severe cold. However, the Met Department forecasts a noticeable drop in nighttime temperatures starting December 11, marking the arrival of colder nights.

The minimum night time temperature is expected to drop to 12 degrees Celsius from December 11. Recent weather data shows a slight fluctuation in temperatures. On Friday, the maximum temperature in Jamshedpur dropped by 0.8°C in the last 24 hours, while the minimum temperature rose by 0.6°C.

The current minimum temperature remains above normal for this time of year. On Thursday, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum daytime temperature of 30°C, while the minimum nighttime temperature was 13.2°C—1.3°C higher than the seasonal average. The city also experienced humidity levels ranging from 54% to 62%.

Residents are advised to prepare for colder nights as winter approaches its peak.
