Jamshedpur, Jan 17: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) hosted its Annual Sports Meet at JRD Sports Complex on January 16. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited, who officially declared the Sports Meet open. Sinha’s encouraging words served as motivation for the participants, and he commended the dedicated efforts of the NHES team.
The event commenced with a March Past by students from Classes 6, 7, and 8, accompanied by the active participation of parents and NHES alumni who joined the school teams to show their support. Following this, a vibrant drill display titled ‘Panorama’ showcased four national symbols of India: the peacock representing “love and beauty,” the dolphin symbolizing “freedom and friendship,” the lotus signifying “peace and positivity,” and the tiger symbolizing “agility and power.”

In a tribute to Indian scientists for their successful launch of Chandrayaan 3, students presented a captivating display featuring the moon and a galaxy of stars. This was followed by a spectacular yoga performance, where participants symbolized the propulsion of Chandrayaan 3 into space and its eventual landing on the moon.

Continuing the spectacle, an all-girls contingent presented the Flag March, embodying the dreams, aspirations, and power of women to break free from the shackles of mediocrity and strive for brilliance and innovation.
The track events, ranging from the 800-meter to the 100-meter race and the 400-meter relay race, were conducted, showcasing the athletic prowess of the students.
The prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest Ritu Raj Sinha, the School managing committee President Nakul Kamani, other members of the Managing Committee and Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury.
