Jamshedpur, April 22: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) organized a series of activities to promote environmental awareness among students in both junior and senior sections.
The junior programme was conducted by Class IV A students along with the Science Club. It began with a special assembly where students spoke about key environmental issues such as pollution, deforestation, and climate change. A short skit was presented, highlighting the harmful impact of human activities on nature and ways to reduce damage.
The Vice Principal and teachers encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits like reducing plastic use, saving water, and planting trees. The programme concluded with a pledge taken by students to protect the environment.
In the senior section, an environmental quiz was organized for Classes XI and XII to test students’ knowledge on conservation and sustainability. The quiz saw active participation from students. Along with this, an e-waste drive was also conducted to promote safe disposal and recycling of electronic waste.
The activities reflected the school’s commitment to spreading awareness and encouraging responsible behaviour among students.
