NHES excels at Geofest Geography Olympiad 2015

Jamshedpur, Nov. 12: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) students have excelled in the Geofest International and National Geography Olympiad 2015 organized by City Montessori Inter-College, Lucknow.

The NHES team won the first prize in the collage making event (senior category) on the theme �Water scarcity by the year 2025�.

They also won two consolation prizes in collage making event (junior category) on the theme �Distinct today extinct tomorrow� and dance presentation.

The dance presentation was a fusion of two dance forms Kalaripayatu (Kerala) and Chhou (Jharkhand). It was appreciated by all. Altogether 68 schools from all over India, including three schools from Jamshedpur participated in the events.

Schools from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand and Mauritius also sent teams to the Geography Olympiad 2015.�

NHES principal Mrs. Paramita Roy Chaudhury felicitated the winners and teachers responsible for training the students in the school assembly on Thursday.���
