Jamshedpur, Nov 26: NGO Paint Brush organised a seminar at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Potka, with support of Jamshedpur SP (Rural) Mukesh Kr Lunayat.
Ishika Sinha, founder trustee of the NGO and organizer of the event, shed light on the importance of menstrual health and hygiene of women. How the taboo and misconception of periods are distressing the health of the women in our society.
Dr. Khyati S Mittal advise young girls on periods.
P. Vigneswari, wife of DIG Dr Tamilvanan and K Manasa, sister of SP City Jamshedpur K Vijay Shankar also shared and motivated young girls to use hygiene methods in menstruation and build a taboo free society for all.
NGO also distributed free sanitary pads to the young girls and motived them to pledge to use only safe and hygiene methods in menstruation.
They also shared the importance and methods to keep the environment clean & green. The Paint Brush NGO team along with the students performed some local tribal music and dance to boost and conserve the tribal culture & heritage. Also present was Dr Khyati S Mittal, wife of DC Chaibasa Ananya Mittal.
