Jamshedpur, Sept 11: The frenzied rush at the pollution test centre adjacent to Sahdev Petrol Pump on the JadugodaNarwa Main Road crates a new picture of transformation from a dormant point to a place of hustle-bustle. Two wheeler owners have been forming long queues over the past three days to get pollution checks done on their vehicles as the New Motor Vehicles Act demand this document along with the other necessary papers during vehicle checks. The charges are Rs 80 per vehicle and over the last three days more than 750 two wheeler owners have had their pollution certificates made.
Another reason for the huge rush at this pollution test facility is attributed to the fact that being the only pollution checking center in Ghatshila Division people from this area including Jadugoda, Ghatshila, Dhalbhumgarh, Chakulia, Baharagora, Dumaria, Narwa Pahar and Sundernagar have to come here. Many people have demanded that pollution test centres should be opened also in these areas also so that people would be absolved of long queues and longer wait.
