Jamshedpur, March 11: The Indian Powerlifting Federation (IPF) conducted its Annual General Meeting at the Bistupur Milanee Auditorium. The proceedings commenced with the garlanding of portraits of Mahavir Bajrangbali and Bharat Mata.
During the proceedings, Kaustab Dutta, the General Secretary of the Federation, presented a review of the previous year’s activities. The highlight of the meeting was the unanimous election of the new executive committee for the term 2024-2028.
Satyaprakash Masih was made president while Kaustab Dutta was given the mantle of General Secretary. Others appointed in the capacities of other office bearers included Rajesh Kumar Shukla (Patron), Anwar Hussain and Manik Tosare (Vice Presidents), and Sampa Guha (Joint Secretary).
The event witnessed the presence of officials and members from across the country and they included Lalit Kumar, Md Raja, Sangeeta Singh, and many others. Rajesh Kumar Shukla presided over the meeting.
In his closing remarks, Satyaprakash Masih extended the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all present and emphasizing the commitment of the newly elected team of executives towards expanding the sport of powerlifting in India.
