Jamshedpur, March 10: A life-long dream bloomed into reality when Gulmohur High School added a new wing to the existing building.
The school held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new building on Thursday. Gulmohur High School has come a long way since its inception in 1954.
A.B. Lall, plant head, Tata Motors, Jamshedpur, graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the new wing by unveiling a plaque. Ranjit Dhar, chairman of the school committee, Anurag Verma, vice-chairman and Rajeev Shrivastava, secretary, were also present on the occasion.
The two-storey new wing is a gift to the society as it has a brilliant academic infrastructure for classes two to five with digital classrooms that will facilitate teaching and learning. There is a spacious computer lab which will enable every child to enhance his /her computer skills.
The school will now boast of a well-furnished library, spacious enough for students to cultivate the habit of reading and a spectacular 400 seat auditorium where students can exhibit and nurture their creativity and artistic skills.
The new wing has enough space for sports training and outdoor games like basketball, football, throw ball and badminton.
The principal of the school, Sunita Sinha, said this achievement is the fruit of the unstinted efforts of everyone connected with the school.
Inspired by the words of Marin Luther King, “I have a dream,” Gulmohur High School is ardently following the school’s motto, “Stop Not Till The Goal is Reached,” as it treads the path of excellence in education.
