Jamshedpur, Mar 27: Jamshedpur born IPS official Shailesh Kumar Pandey has been made SSP of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and took charge on Saturday.
Shailesh is the eldest son of SI Nagnarayan Pandey, an SI deputed earlier at the Adityapur thana in Seraikela -Kharsawan district. He is a 2011 batch IPS and is a native of Kumhati Bhitouli village in Siwan district of Bihar.
He had earlier served as police super in Gonda, Bareilly, Sant Kabir Nagar and other importance places and made a reputation of dashing police officer. His wife is an IAS and is currently the district magistrate of Balrampur.
