Jamshedpur, Sept. 7 : Union government will explore possibilities of setting up other automobile units in Jamshedpur and adjoining Adityapur.
Moreover, Union Minister of State Rajiv Pratap Rudy will also visit here. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto during an interaction with media this afternoon at Bistupur announced that Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent charge) will be visiting the state before Durga Puja.
�I had personally met the minister last month soon after the monsoon session of the Parliament and informed about the dependence of the ancillary units in this industrial belt on Tata Motors and requested for exploring opportunities for opening other automobile units like tractors in this belt so that the ancillary units can have an alternative to fall back upon in case of adverse situations in Tata Motors. The union minister immediately agreed to the proposal and assured of visiting before Durga Puja,� said the BJP MP.
Bidyut said that talks have been held in this direction with the state chief minister Raghubar Das on this aspect too. �The Government will be chalking out the details of the visit. We are eagerly awaiting the visit as the minister during his visit would be taken for visit of the Adityapur industrial area to see the potential growth.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy, will also be apprised about need of starting closed ITIs and other vocational training institutions in the state.
Notably, spread over 3,000 acres of land in Adityapur and Gamharia, the Adityapur industrial area under AIADA has over 1,200 industrial units.
It may be noted that the sprawling Adityapur Industrial Area houses 1200 units- including 11 large-scale, 64 small scale and 166 tiny industries.
A few important industries that has global presence are Usha Martin Group, RSB Group, Tata Steel Growth Shop(TGS) etc., too situated in this industrial belt, situated in Seraikela-Kharsawan. There are 20 industries, which export its products to the USA, Australia and other European countries.
