Jamshedpur, August 22: The new academic session for 2024-25 at RVS College of Engineering and Technology commenced today with a grand inauguration ceremony held in the college auditorium. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Tapas Kumar Sahu, Chairman of Heico Engineers Pvt. Ltd., who lit the ceremonial lamp.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including RVS Educational Trust Chairman Binda Singh, Secretary Bharat Singh, Executive Member Shakti Singh, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Dean of Administration Prof. Krishna Murari, and Head of the Department of Training and Placement Prof. Dr. Vikram Sharma.
In his address, Chief Guest Tapas Kumar Sahu encouraged the students to focus on their future goals, advising them to develop their skills, especially in communication, and to start preparing for placements from the beginning of their course. He emphasized the importance of setting goals beyond just engineering.
Bharat Singh, Trust Secretary, highlighted the 21-year journey of RVS College, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to quality education. He urged the students to remain disciplined, assuring them of support in any challenges they may face.
Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari welcomed the new students and their parents, expressing pride in the college’s recognition as the fourth in the country to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He noted that RVS College is renowned for its discipline across Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Bengal, and expressed confidence that the college would soon surpass BIT Sindri in reputation.
The program began with a warm welcome from Dr. Surya Bahadur, head of the organizing committee, who explained that the 15-day induction program is designed to help new students adjust to college life. Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of Training & Placement, delivered the vote of thanks, while Dr. Sudhir managed the stage proceedings.
