Neighbour killed over land dispute in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A land dispute in Kumrum Basti, under the Mango police station area, led to a brutal murder on Friday. Rasik Majhi, 48, was allegedly beaten to death by his neighbors, Dhananjay Kumar and Mrityunjay Kumar. The police have detained both accused for questioning.
According to Sukrumani Majhi, Rasik’s sister-in-law, the accused were digging on their property, which led Rasik to object. This provoked the two brothers, who attacked him with sticks, leaving him critically injured. After the assault, the accused fled the scene, leaving Rasik on a cot.
Sukrumani further revealed that Rasik’s wife and children are at her maternal home, and other family members were away in the village during the incident. The land dispute had reportedly caused tension between the families in the past.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, sent the body for post-mortem, and launched an investigation into the matter. The authorities are currently probing the case to uncover further details.
