Negligence in disposal of cases will not be tolerated: Barnwal


Ranchi: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister cum Secretary, Information and public relations Department Sunil Kumar Barnwal reviewed 16 complaints through video conferencing at Suchna Bhawan on Tuesday. He said that negligence in disposal of complaints will not be tolerated and instructed all district and department nodal officer to work in coordination to execute complaints coming in Jan Samvad Kendra.

Barnwal directed the state officials concerned to speed up the execution of complaints and took to task the Nodal Officer of Palamu, Giridih, Dhanbad, Ranchi and Hazaribagh for their unsatisfactory performance. He said Giridih has the highest number of pending cases, the Secretary instructed nodal officer of Giridih to execute the pending cases within 15 days. He said the DC of districts with more than 500 complaints pending will be held accountable.

In a case of non-payment of salary to one Jagat Kumar Yadav, a teacher of Deoghar for nine months, Barnwal directed the department officials concerned to pay Yadav his pending salary and asked them to transfer him to some other school. He also directed to take departmental action on the District Education Officer.

When asked about the absence of any clue even after 4 months of kidnapping of 15-year-old girl student from Godda, the local DSP gave information about the status of police investigation in the case.

In the case of murder of Palamu’s Satyanarayan Singh (14 years) on February 28, 2018, no concrete action has yet been taken by the police. The relatives of the deceased have alleged that the police are trying to suppress the case. On this the DSP concerned said the matter is under investigation.

The sub-health center building being created by the welfare department under MSDP in Surajbera, Pakud is incomplete even after five years. At this the nodal officer of state Health Department said he has no information about this building. Barnwal instructed the officials concerned to work in coordination and prepare a plan for all such under-construction buildings so that they can be utilized.

Water supply in the residential premises of Sadar Hospital in Gadhwa is unavailable since one and a half year, people of the area are facing problem due to this. The secretary instructed to ensure water supply in the said area within a week.

Despite giving the application after the death of Puneet Yadav in Chatra in September 2017, the compensation has not yet been paid. In this case, Nodal Officer of Chatra said the payment was not made due to non-allocation of funds, the allocation has been received. Compensation will be paid within a week.
