NEET-UG 2026 Re-Exam on June 21: NTA

New Delhi (IANS): The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday announced that it will conduct the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, June 21, with the approval of the Central government.

In a post on X, the NTA said, “The National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has scheduled the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026.”

The agency urged candidates and parents to rely only on its official communication channels for authentic updates. It shared its official contact details: neet-ug@nta.ac.in and helpline numbers 011-40759000 and 011-69227700.

Earlier, the NTA cancelled the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2026, which it had conducted on May 3. A total of 22.79 lakh candidates had registered for the examination this year.

The agency said it took the decision after reviewing inputs from Central agencies and investigative findings shared by law enforcement authorities. The move followed serious concerns over the integrity of the examination process.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation has intensified its investigation into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. Officials said investigators brought four accused to Delhi for further questioning to uncover the larger network behind the alleged racket.

The accused include Dinesh Binwal and Mangilal Binwal from Jaipur, Mangilal’s son Vikas, and Yash Yadav from Haryana. CBI officials are questioning them together at the agency’s headquarters to trace the full chain of events.

On Thursday morning, CBI teams searched the Binwal family’s residence in Jamwaramgarh. Investigators questioned family members, recorded statements, and seized documents, electronic devices, and digital records from their farmhouse and other linked properties as part of the ongoing probe.
