Neeraj Kant elected Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council

Jamshedpur, Feb 27: Neeraj Kant, Managing Director, The Indian Steel & Wire Products (ISWP) Ltd has been elected as the Chairman of�CII�Jharkhand State Council for the year 2019-20. His name was announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted�CII�Jharkhand State Council held in Jamshedpur today coinciding with the Annual Meeting of�CII�Jharkhand State Council 2018-19.

Neeraj Kant has a B Tech Degree from The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and has completed his MBA from the Edinburgh University Management School. He has a wide experience of Marketing & Sales in the Steel Industry, both in the public as well as private sectors. In his tenure with Tata Steel Ltd. during last 15 years, he has made significant contributions in several path breaking initiatives. He is well known for his steel market understanding and business leadership.

Sanjay Sabherwal, Managing Director, Metaldyne Industries Limited has been elected as the Vice Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2019-20.

Sabherwal graduated from BITS Pilani in 1986, with a BE (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and a MSc (Hons) in Economics. He joined The Tinplate Co of India Ltd in Jamshedpur as a GT. Sabherwal is an entrepreneurial bug and set up a 1-man Industrial goods distributorship in 1988. He set up the first Manufacturing facility for auto components in 1992. The company, Metaldyne Industries Limited, is now a JV with a US company from 2000 with an eye towards engineered products & international markets. It is currently a global supplier to multiple OEM�s like Ford, Nissan, Volvo and Cummins in 12 countries, with backward integration in foundry.

Coinciding with its Annual Meeting, CII Jharkhand organised a Session on Build Jharkhand: Responsible. Inclusive. Sustainable. Entrepreneurial. The Session will deliberated on building Jharkhand with the benefits generated percolating to all sections of the society so that the state can play a significant role in India�s growth story.
