Jamshedpur, Oct 17: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has expressed confidence that the NDA alliance will form the government in Jharkhand following the upcoming assembly elections. While eager to contest from Jamshedpur East, Roy acknowledged the possibility of contesting from Jamshedpur West instead, in line with the decisions made by senior NDA leaders.
Speaking at the Vijaya Milan ceremony organized by the Bharatiya Janata Morcha in Baridih, Roy emphasized the importance of community support, stating, “If I have to contest from Jamshedpur West, I will still need the backing of the people from Jamshedpur East.” He highlighted his commitment to serving all sections of society and claimed, “The amount of work I have done in the last three years after COVID has not been done even in the last 30 years.”
Roy noted significant achievements during his tenure, including Tata’s initiative to provide water to all settlements and the establishment of a separate water treatment plant for Bhuinyandih and Babudih to ensure access to clean drinking water. He expressed satisfaction over the approval of the Moharda Phase 2 project by the state government and urged Jusco to commence work promptly. Additionally, he mentioned the foundation stone laid for the bridge from Litti Chowk to Bhilai Pahari on October 4, with efforts underway to begin construction soon.
Reflecting on his tenure, Roy remarked, “Over the past five years, we have worked together through both sweet and sour experiences. My commitment to my workers has remained unwavering, and I have maintained direct communication with them. Our office has always been open to serve the people of Jamshedpur East Assembly, addressing their complaints and problems through WhatsApp and our toll-free number. We are dedicated to resolving these issues.”
He concluded by stating, “Our organization will expand into other assemblies, including Jamshedpur East, ensuring that the prestige of our workers remains intact in both the East and West.” The conference was attended by key leaders, including the District President of Bharatiya Janata Morcha, district officers, the President and officers of the Forum and Front, along with Mandal President, officers, and hundreds of workers and supporters.
