Jamshedpur, Jan 13: National Youth Day was celebrated with fervour at Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU). Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Anjila Gupta presided over the programme. The chief guest of the occasion was Mukesh Kir from Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Dr Sanatan Deep of music department presented Saraswati Vandana.
In his address, the chief guest said Swami Vivekananda had asked everyone to lead a fearless life as there is a divine power inside every individual which gives us the ability to do any work. He said concentration was important for receiving education. Education should be able to build a strong character of students who should make it their goal to connect to the Almighty through philosophy and Yoga, he said.
The Vice Chancellor congratulated one and all on National Youth Day. She said the youths should read about the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda so that they may build the nation.
