National spokesperson Ajoy Kumar expresses confidence of win in Littipara by-poll

He alleged that the BJP-ruled state government was trying to protect the BJP Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh a named accused in the murder.

Addressing a press conference at Tilak Pustakalaya, the Congress leader also expressed confidence that their alliance with JMM would help them win the Littipara by-poll.

The Congress national spokesperson also questioned on the role of the Election Commission in not heeding to JMM and Congress protest on allowing Prime Minister Narendra Modi program at Sahebganj.

“We had approached the election commission of the Prime Minister program as it was a violation of model code of conduct ahead of the Littipara by-polls. But our request were not heeded to by the commission which casts doubt in the mind of masses towards the commission,” said Kumar.

He also criticized the PM for ignoring the model code of conduct and distributing smart phones to women self help groups during his visit to Sahebganj yesterday.

The former MP has floated a non-political wing in a district called ‘supercop’ of 90s. The outfit which was launched early this month has been named as Ajoy Kumar Vichar Manch and would include members irrespective of their political affiliations from the East Singhbhum district.

According to Ajoy Kumar the front would start off with health check-up camps in remote areas not having proper accessibility to health centers and in due course would be raising social issues.

“ It is our ambitious project and we have plans for health check-up camps later this month at remote blocks and panchayats underserved by healthcare facilities.

We would also help people facing problem and other civic issues through this organization and take it forward with the concerned departments. The objective is to empower people for their rights and stand with them in getting justice,” said Kumar.
