National seminar on NEP 2020 concludes at Karim City College Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The two-day national seminar on ‘Quality and Innovation in Higher Education under NEP 2020’ concluded on Thursday at the Mango Campus of Karim City College.

The second day began with a technical session focusing on research paper presentations, where academicians and researchers shared insights on reforms, innovation and quality enhancement in higher education under the New Education Policy 2020.

The valedictory session commenced with a welcome address by Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, followed by concluding remarks from Co-convener Dr. Satya Jha. Chief guest Dr. Vibha Pandey, Deputy Director, Ranchi, highlighted new opportunities for large-scale project funding starting April, along with provisions for fellowships and scholarships in higher education. She emphasized the urgent need to strengthen B.Ed. programs in Jharkhand to develop qualified teachers.

Guest of honour Dr. Amulya Kumar Acharya, Head of the Department of Postgraduate Education at Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, spoke on the importance of NAAC accreditation in maintaining academic standards.

The seminar featured technical session chairpersons including Dr. Mozzamin Nazri, Dr. Zaki Akhtar, Dr. Sanjay Bhuyan, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Shahla Jabeen, Dr. Md Irshad Khan, Dr. Md Moiz Ashraf and Dr. Juhi Samarpita.

Certificates were distributed to participants by the chief guest. The event was anchored by Dr. Bina Kumari and Prof. Subuhi Rahman, while Prof Ritu Raj Tigga delivered the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem. The seminar was convened by Dr. Parveen Usmani, with Dr. Sucheta Bhuiyan serving as Organizing Secretary.
