National Lineman Diwas: Tata Steel UISL felicitates 134 linemen

Jamshedpur, March 4: Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (UISL) celebrated National Lineman Diwas today at JUSCO Green, adhering to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Power and Central Electricity Authority (CEA). The event aimed to honor and felicitate the linemen who play a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted power supply, especially during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, the flag was unfurled by distinguished personalities, including Ritu Raj Sinha MD, Tata Steel UISL, Raghunath Pandey, President, JUSCO Shramik Union, Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, Sr. GM Town OM & RE, V P Singh, Sr. GM – Power Services, and Satyaraj Rath, Chief Divisional Manager, Safety.

A safety oath was collectively taken by all participants, highlighting the commitment to maintaining a secure working environment. V P Singh,Sr. GM-Power Services presented an insightful session on “How Our Linemen Work in Challenging Situations,” shedding light on the dedication of the linemen in and around Jamshedpur and Seraikela.

In recognition of their relentless efforts, 134 linemen were felicitated by Ritu Raj Sinha, Raghunath Pandey, and V P Singh.

Ritu Raj Sinha addressed the gathering, acknowledging the linemen’s pivotal role in ensuring a continuous and reliable power supply.

Umesh Rai, Vice-President of Jusco Shramik Union, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The event witnessed the participation of over 500 employees who gathered to honor the linemen’s dedication and hard work.
