National Health Scheme launched

Noamundi: A Rashtriya Swasthay Bima Yojna campaign was organized on Monday under Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India at Noamundi Block office to provide health insurance coverage for BPL families.

RSBY Chaibasa district program manager Anamika Kumari was present as the chief trainer. She said the objective of RSBY is to give protection to Below Poverty Line families from financial liabilities arising out of health problems.

Enrolled card holders under RSBY are entitled to avail hospitalization of RS 30,000. Beneficiaries need to pay RS 30 only as registration fee. At present there are 9458 card holders in Noamundi Block.

A concerted effort is to be made to increase the number of the card holders, she said. The block statistics supervisors Filmund Dungdung, Ravi Kumar, Nehal Nasim and angabnbari sevikas were present during the campaign.
