Jamshedpur, Nov. 8: The national conference on environmental challenges & solutions (NC-ECS 2015) witnessed a numbers of scientific deliberations by different researchers, scientists, academicians and experts in the field of environmental science and engineering .
There were eight technical sessions run parallely and all together 59 research papers were presented broadly in six areas, namely- environmental monitoring & management, biodiversity, effluent treatment, alternative fuel & energy, and related environmental issues.
The valedictory Function was held in the afternoon which was chaired by Dr. S. Srikanth, director CSIR-NML and attended by experts other than participants. Dr Srikanth in his remark said that NC-ECS-2015 provided a platform where technical views, opinion and knowledge has been shared among scientist, experts, industrialist and young enthusiastic research scholars on various topics, such as environmental issues of Jharkhand, e-waste recycling challenges and related analytical techniques, assessment and treatment to improve water quality, eco-friendly coal mining, green marketing in India, utilization of different solid wastes for various applications, impacts of climate change and biodiversity for sustainable development etc.
The recommendations will be put forwarded to different forums for their implementations in due course of time. All the papers presented in the each session are of high value. In each session one �Best Presentation� was awarded on the basis of technical content, presentation quality, time management and discussion.

The conference has been organized by a city based NGO ��Nature, Jamshedpur� in association with CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Indian Institute of Metal Jamshedpur Chapter, Tata Steel and Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) ,Ranchi.
