New Delhi : Country�s reputed law institution National Law University today conducted a special convocation ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi and conferred the honorary degree Doctor of Laws’ (LL.D) (Honoris Causa) to the Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada Mr. David Johnston, in view of his achievements of over four decades in the field of law and legal education and lifetime commitment to the service of human kind.
The occasion was also graced by other distinguished guests including Honourable Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed (Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court and Chancellor of NLU Delhi), His Excellency Mr. Stewart Beck (High Commissioner for Canada to India), Admiral Nirmal Verma (High Commissioner of India to Canada), Justice S Ravindra Bhat (Judge, Delhi High Court) and Prof. (Dr.) Shanthi Johnson (President, SICI).
