Jamshedpur, September 29: Brahmananda Narayana Hospital, Jamshedpur, celebrated World Heart Day by organizing a walkathon aimed at raising awareness about heart health. The event, held on September 29, started and ended at Jubilee Park’s Lake Gate, attracting hundreds of participants.

Heart specialists from the hospital, including Senior Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Perwaiz Alam and Cardiologists Dr. Abhay Krishna, Dr. Ajay Agarwal, Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed, and Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Anwesha Mukherjee, provided crucial insights into heart disease prevention. They stressed the importance of regular exercise, a balanced diet, stress management, and avoiding tobacco use.

Several prominent medical professionals attended the event, including Clinical Director Dr. M.L. Ali, Medical Superintendent Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Sr. Neurologist Dr. Arun Kumar, Cardiologists Dr. Santosh Gupta and Dr. Partho Majumdar and Cancer Specialist Dr. Amit Kumar.

Facility Director Vinit Raj emphasized the growing concern of heart disease and the need for an active lifestyle. Participants were also offered free health checkups, including blood pressure and sugar level tests.

The hospital urged all sections of society to prioritize heart health and participate in such initiatives.
