Named FIR against seven in Jamshedpur Durga Puja Bhog distribution case

BJP leader Abhay Singh to launch campaign today

Jamshedpur, Nov 17: Abhay Singh, BJP leader and chief patron of Thakur Pyaara Singh Dhurandhar Singh Durga Puja Committee, has been booked after 20 days for distributing bhog during Durga Puja. In the bhog distribution case on October 13, a case has been registered at Sakchi police station on behalf of the then Magistrate Rajkumar Mandal on November 2, in which seven including Abhay Singh were nominated and 40 unknowns were accused of violating the guidelines issued regarding Covid.

Singh said that he has received the copy of the case on Tuesday. Apart from Abhay Singh, a resident of Kashidih, who has been named in this case, Monu Singh (Kashidih), Shivendra Singh alias Shibu Singh (Kulsi Road, Sakchi), Pramod Shukla alias Bablu Pandit (Kashidih), Surendra Sharma (Kashidih), Vijay Chaudhary (Gurdwara Basti, Sakchi) and Upendra Thakur (Kashidih).

 In the complaint lodged, Rajkumar Mandal has written that on October 13, he was deputed as a magistrate in Durga Puja of Thakur Pyara Singh Dhurandhar Singh, located in Kashidih. Bhog was being distributed by the accused on that day. Bhog was being distributed without masks, hand gloves and without following physical distance. At that time such an event was banned by the Jharkhand government. 

In this regard, Abhay Singh said that this action has been taken at the behest of Minister Banna Gupta, against whom he will announce an agitation on Thursday. On October 13, on the day of Maha Ashtami of Durga Puja, Bhog was being distributed from Shiva temple located near Kashidih Puja pandal. At that time the Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar had come there to inspect.
